South Humber Bank Power Station, near Stallingborough in North East Lincolnshire, is a 1,365 MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plant owned by EP UK Investments, part of Czech energy group EPH. Built by ABB, construction began in 1994, with Phase 1 completed in 1997 and Phase 2 in 1999. The site covers 54 acres, employs about 60 people, and uses River Humber water for cooling.

Originally developed by Humber Power Ltd, the station passed through multiple owners, including Fortum, TotalFinaElf, and British Energy, before Centrica became full owner in 2005. In 2017, it was sold to EP UK Investments alongside Langage Power Station.

The plant runs on natural gas using five ABB Alstom GT13E2 turbines linked to heat recovery steam generators and two steam turbines producing high-efficiency power. Operating at up to 55% efficiency, South Humber Bank can supply both base and peak demand and remains one of the UK’s most efficient gas-fired stations, producing over 8,500 GWh annually.
